Palomar is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions supporting our insurer operations. You will work with Quality Engineering and BI teams to align data assets with Palomar's data strategy.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in data engineering, strong SQL, experience with Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery, and a collaborative mindset to thrive in our agile environment. Excellent problem solving, communication, and adherence to data governance are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data engineering experience, preferably in insurance.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and build ELT pipelines to ingest data from various sources.
• Monitor pipelines with Data Operations and perform root cause analysis.
• Create scalable data assets with stakeholders and solutions architects.
• Design and manage relational databases and optimize performance.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security.
• Document data workflows and systems.
