Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role; insurance experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Understanding of data modeling and data architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data pipelines.
• Develop and maintain ELT processes to ingest data from various sources.
• Partner with Data Operations team to monitor pipelines and systems for issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
• Data Solutioning: collaborate with SMEs and solutions architects to create scalable data assets and tooling.
• Database Management: design, implement, and manage relational databases; optimize performance and storage.
• Data Integration & Normalization: integrate data from internal and external sources; ensure data cleanliness and integrity.
• Data Quality & Governance: enforce data quality checks and governance policies with QA team.
• Collaboration: work with Quality Engineering, BI, and SMEs to understand data requirements and implement solutions.
• Documentation: maintain comprehensive documentation of data workflows, processes, and systems.
