Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain a modern data warehouse and scalable data pipelines on the Business Intelligence team. The role focuses on data modeling, performance, and reliability to support analytics, with an on-site base at our West Los Angeles headquarters.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in database engineering, strong SQL/data warehousing skills (Snowflake/BigQuery/PostgreSQL), and experience with Python or Scala for orchestration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or Mathematics with 3+ years of experience in database engineering.
• Expertise in SQL and data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, or PostgreSQL).
• Strong programming skills in Python or Scala for data orchestration (e.g., Airflow, dbt).
• Experience with API integrations and managing unstructured vs. structured data.
• Background in database administration and performance tuning.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.
