Contact Government Services (CGS) is seeking a Data Engineer to support a growing Data Analytics and Business Intelligence platform focused on providing solutions that empower our federal customers with actionable insights. This is a full-time, mid-level role in the Business Intelligence department.

The ideal candidate will work in an Agile/Scrum team to develop data pipelines, ETL processes, and dashboards using Tableau or PowerBI, emphasizing data quality and scalability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT experience with data sets and models.
• Experience building data pipelines from varied sources.
• Proficiency in ETL processes, testing and validation.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, SAS.
• Strong knowledge of big data tools and technologies.
• Knowledge of Agile principles and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Git repositories.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end data pipelines and data provisioning for consumers.
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum team and follow agile best practices.
• Write code to optimize data extraction and processing performance.
• Support automation of data ingestion processes.
• Advocate lean-agile engineering principles and practices including API-first design, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Work with program management and engineers to implement evolving requirements.
• Foster a collaborative environment emphasizing customer service, innovation, and teamwork.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX researchers, product managers, and engineers.
