Job summary

Contact Government Services, LLC (CGS) is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Business Intelligence team in the Boston area. The role focuses on building and supporting a Data Analytics and BI platform for federal customers, with emphasis on scalable data pipelines, Agile teamwork, and data-driven decision making.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of IT experience, proficiency in Python/SQL/SAS, ETL development, and experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required; ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• 7+ years IT experience in design, management, and modeling of large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Develop data pipelines to store, manage, and provision data to consumers.
• Be an active, collaborative Agile/Scrum team member following best practices.
• Write code to ensure performance and reliability of data extraction and processing.
• Support continuous automation for data ingest.
• Advocate lean-agile engineering and CI/CD practices; API-first design and automated testing.
• Collaborate with program management and engineers to document complex requirements.
• Contribute to a customer-focused, collaborative team environment.
