Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Engineer to build insights from massive partner and customer data sets on AWS. You will design and operate high-volume data structures for analytics, and develop end-to-end data pipelines and BI-ready datasets.

The role involves real-time and batch ingestion, data modeling, and producing comprehensive data documentation to support business decisions. Strong AWS skills are required.

Qualifications

The AWS Marketplace team is looking for a Data Engineer to play a key role in building insights from our large and ever-growing sets of partner and customer data. The Data Engineer will design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data structures for analytics. Implement data ingestion routines both real time and batch using best practices in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes leveraging AWS technologies and data tools. Provide on-line reporting and analysis using business intelligence tools and a logical abstraction layer against large, multi-dimensional datasets and multiple sources. Produce comprehensive, usable dataset documentation and metadata. Provides input and recommendations on technical issues.

Basic Qualifications

• - 3+ years of data engineering experience

• - Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
• - Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
