Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Data Engineer in Austin, TX to design and operate large-scale analytics data structures, with both real-time and batch ingestion capabilities. You will build end-to-end analytics solutions and provide BI-ready datasets to drive business decisions.

Required at least 3+ years in data engineering, with expertise in data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipelines, plus hands-on experience with AWS services like Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR, Kinesis and Lambda.

The AWS Marketplace team is looking for a Data Engineer to play a key role in building insights from our large and ever-growing sets of partner and customer data. Role Description

The Data Engineer will design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data structures for analytics. Implement data ingestion routines both real time and batch using best practices in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes leveraging AWS technologies and data tools. Provide online reporting and analysis using business intelligence tools and a logical abstraction layer against large, multi-dimensional datasets and multiple sources. Produce comprehensive, usable dataset documentation and metadata. Provide input and recommendations on technical issues.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
• Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
