Job summary

Arcfield in Newport, RI, is seeking a qualified engineer to solve technical problems of moderate scope. You will work with Linux systems (Ubuntu/RHEL) and expand into Unix-like OS, supporting automation and data workflows.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s with 2–4 years or a Master’s with 0–2 years, and must be capable of obtaining a Secret clearance. This role offers a path within a growing national security-focused team and opportunities to learn advanced sonar tools and SDKs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2–4 years of experience, or Master’s with 0–2 years.
• Experience in managing unstructured data and semi-structured data.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity.
• Interact with complex data and networking systems while adhering to strict organization standards.
• Work effectively as part of a large cross-discipline team.
• Familiarity with Linux systems (Ubuntu/RHEL) and Unix-like OS.
• Support development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated scripts (C/C++, Python, Bash, Batch).
