Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to manage CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and Linux server administration. You will design and optimize monitoring dashboards using Grafana and Tableau, troubleshoot complex deployments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability and performance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of Bash/Python experience, strong Unix/Linux security skills, and familiarity with Hadoop and data replication technologies.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience with Bash scripting and Python
Experience with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines
Unix background with containerized applications (Podman, Docker, Openshift, Kubernetes)
Understanding of storage and data replication platforms: CEPH, Ozone, HDFS
Strong Unix/Linux security knowledge
Data visualization and analytics with Tableau, Grafana, Apache Superset
In-depth knowledge of Postgres relational databases
Experience with Hadoop

Responsibilities

Observe and support application components and infrastructure; act as first point of contact for production issues.

Perform spike/proof-of-concept to mitigate risk or explore new ideas.

Job description

Interprets and monitors dashboards, tools, and reports to proactively identify and address potential issues prior to production impact, escalating issues to senior team members or subject matter experts as needed.
Respond to alerts regarding potential production incidents.
Implement, monitor, and improve DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines and streamline software delivery.
Administer Linux servers for hosting applications, ensuring system security, performance, and reliability.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to align technical solutions with technical needs.
Troubleshoot complex technical challenges, ensuring system stability, performance, and scalability.
Knowledge of automation/DevOps tools – Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket.
Develop dashboards with Grafana to monitor real time logs, server health check etc.
Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.

Requirements
