Job summary

State Street Corporation is seeking a Data Engineer Lead to design, build, and optimize Azure-based data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and loading into centralized data lakes and Snowflake as the data warehouse. You will ensure data quality, implement ELT/ETL processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions.

The role emphasizes Azure Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud migration from on-prem to Azure, with onsite office presence in Quincy, MA and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree level qualification in a computer or IT related subject.
12+ years of overall IT industry experience.
8+ years of overall data pipeline and Data Warehousing experience.
5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on Azure Databricks and Snowflake.
5+ years of cloud-based development including Azure Services, Azure Devops, Kubernetes, Docker.
Experience with ESP is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines in Azure for ingesting, transforming, and loading data.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and secure data handling across pipelines.
Implement ELT/ETL processes and data modeling for scalable analytics.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to deliver data solutions.
Monitor pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance and costs.
Apply RBAC/ABAC and data governance standards across data platforms.
