Job summary

OneAmerica Financial is seeking a Software Engineer to join a hybrid team in Indianapolis. You will mentor teammates, fix bugs, and tackle meaningful technical challenges while collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders.

The role emphasizes code development, QA, and contributing to scalable features for hundreds of daily users, with opportunities to grow through cloud certifications and cross‑functional work.

• Cloud Certifications a Plus recommended.

Primary Duties May Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Responsible for improving the skills of each member of the competency through technical leadership and active mentoring
• Finding and fixing bugs
• Interpreting, identifying, and solving unique and meaningful problems
• Development of code and procedures affecting hundreds of daily users
• Maintenance and quality assurance on existing and upcoming features
• Team communication
• Work with internal and external clients to gather and analyze requirements and product enhancements
• Assist in the technical grooming of work to be performed
• Work on behalf of our clients in building functionality to support their Application Needs

Required Experience/Education

• Bachelors Degree in a Computer Related field (IT, CS, etc) required
• Cloud Certifications a Plus recommended

Salary Band: 7B

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team building and collaboration.
