Job summary

Kforce Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer for a client in Spring, TX to design and operate robust data ingestion pipelines and ensure accurate data delivery. The role emphasizes collaboration with QA and stakeholders to meet sprint objectives and timelines.

The ideal candidate will bring strong Databricks Lakehouse experience, Unity Catalog, Spark Declarative Pipelines, DBT modeling, and SQL/PySpark skills, with proficiency in Power BI for analytics consumption.

Qualifications

4-5 years of experience in data engineering.
Strong Databricks Lakehouse principles and experience.
Hands-on Unity Catalog experience.
Experience developing Spark Declarative Pipelines (Lakeflow/DLT, autoloader).
Deep experience with DBT model development, conversion, and refactoring.
Working knowledge of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with metadata-driven frameworks.
Exposure to Power BI and analytics consumption patterns.
Exposure to code generation and agentic engineering patterns.
Strong pipeline development capabilities.
Strong SQL and PySpark development skills.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain ingestion pipelines.
Partner with QA to define testing criteria for data accuracy and proactively update.
Manage technical blockers, delivery timelines, and sprint progress without micromanagement.
