Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Data Engineer III within the Consumer & Community Banking - Wealth Management team.

You will join an agile squad to design, deliver, and maintain data pipelines and architectures across multiple areas, ensuring secure, scalable data collection and analytics capabilities. Responsibilities include building and refining UI components, experience services, and backend Java services, plus collaboration with product and design teams.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in data engineering with 3+ years applied experience.
• UI development for production-grade interfaces.
• Experience services development for UI-backed APIs.
• Strong Java backend experience with RESTful services.
• Basic SQL knowledge for validation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, user-friendly UI components and workflows.
• Build and maintain experience services (API/service layer supporting front-end experiences), primarily using Java.
• Implement agentic capabilities into applications and user journeys.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to translate requirements into reliable, performant solutions.
• Debug issues across UI and services; use basic SQL queries to validate data.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, documentation, and adherence to engineering standards.
