Job summary

Grainger is seeking a data engineer to design and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions using SQL, MySQL, Vertica, Python, and Airflow. This is a 100% remote role based in the United States.

You will work on ETL pipelines, data extraction and loading, and automation to support analytics across Grainger's North America operations, with emphasis on governance, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field plus 3 years of related experience.
• Prior experience must include: Utilize SQL, MySQL, and Vertica to design, implement, and maintain efficient and scalable data warehouse solutions
• Develop complex queries and procedures for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
• Utilize Python to create data-driven applications, automate tasks, and enhance data processing workflows
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using tools like Airflow to orchestrate data workflows across different systems.
• 100% remote work allowed from anywhere in the U.S.

Compensation: The anticipated base pay range for this position is $104,500 to $174,200 which reflects the potential base pay at the time of this posting. Base pay will depend on factors such as work location, relevant experience, and skills.
