Job summary

GoGuardian seeks a Data Engineer II to design, build, and continuously improve the Analytics and AI/ML ecosystem. You’ll join the Data Engineering team and collaborate with Data Science and BI to enable data-driven products.

The role requires software engineering and data architecture skills, with a focus on automating, optimizing, and scaling data workflows and ML pipelines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience building and operating large-scale data systems for analytics and ML workloads.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with PySpark and pandas.
• Experience with DBT and modern data warehousing/lakehouse platforms (Databricks).
• Familiarity with MLOps concepts and CI/CD for ML; orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize ETL pipelines powering analytics, data science, and ML workflows (Databricks, PySpark, Airflow).
• Develop labeling and retraining pipelines for ML models with quality and observability.
• Implement MLOps practices including model versioning and CI/CD for ML in production.
• Collaborate with data scientists to scale training, inference, and evaluation pipelines.
• Contribute to data lakehouse design, schema, partitioning, and performance improvements.
• Document data architecture, lineage, and dependencies for transparency.
