Job summary

Amazon’s ISS Central Analytics Data Engineering team seeks an experienced Data Engineer to design and build next-generation data and ML infrastructure powering GenAI applications. You will work with engineers, Applied Scientists, Data Scientists, and Economists to convert ML research into scalable analytics products.

You will lead data initiatives, design robust data architectures, and implement scalable ingestion pipelines using AWS services, ensuring high availability, security, and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field.
• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines.
• 1+ years developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics, including ETL/ELT, OLAP, SQL, and Oracle.
• 3+ years of non internship data engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• As a Data Engineer, provide technical leadership and lead data engineering initiatives.
• Build end-to-end analytical solutions that are highly available, scalable, and cost-effective.
• Collaborate with Applied Scientists, Data Scientists, and Economists to turn ML/AI research into scalable products.
• Design, implement, and operate large-scale, high-volume data structures for analytics and data science.
• Implement data ingestion routines using ETL/ELT best practices with AWS technologies.
• Gather business requirements and translate into robust, scalable data architectures.
