Job summary

Amazon's Intelligent Talent Acquisition Data team in Seattle (WA) is hiring a data engineer to design scalable data pipelines, build high-performance ETL processes, and deliver analytics that improve hiring decisions at scale.

You will partner with data scientists, software engineers and business stakeholders to transform raw data into trusted insights using AWS technologies, data modeling and warehousing, while ensuring data integrity and cost-efficient solutions for millions of candidate

Qualifications

  • 3 years of data engineering experience.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines.
  • Experience with SQL.

Data team builds the foundational data infrastructure and analytics tools that power Amazon’s hiring decisions. We create secure, scalable solutions that enable teams across ITA to access and analyze recruitment data effectively while maintaining data integrity.

Within ITA, the Data team delivers high-quality recruiting data, reusable tools, and analytics reporting to Amazon Talent Acquisition customers. The Data team is the engine behind ITA’s success, creating pathways to information upon which all of the organization’s products are built and enabling Amazon to make correct hiring decisions a million times over. Focused on building scalable long term solutions, the team empowers engineers and consumers to develop, access, and analyze data independently with a high degree of data privacy and integrity. As a member of the Data team, you will deliver robust data solutions that drive fair and efficient hiring and rapidly evolve with the needs of the business.Within ITA, the Data team delivers high-quality recruiting data, reusable tools, and analytics reporting to Amazon Talent Acquisition customers. The Data team is the engine behind ITA’s success, creating pathways to information upon which all of the organization’s products are built and enabling Amazon to make correct hiring decisions a million times over. Basic Qualifications
  • 3 years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with SQL
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
  • Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
