The Data Engineer II will report to the Director, Software Engineering in Information Technology.

Duties & Responsibilities:

By collaborating closely with fellow product development team members, data engineers play a pivotal role in driving team success through:

  • Collaborating with Users, Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers to foster ideation and deliver cutting-edge software solutions.
  • Gathering requirements, understanding business logic, and delivering reliable data solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining data transformation and integration processes to support business reporting and operational needs.
  • Employing Test First and Acceptance Criteria Driven approaches to continuously test and deliver high-quality software.
  • Ensuring solutions meet non-functional requirements such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability.
  • Staying updated on new development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; engaging in educational opportunities; participating in professional publications, networks, and organizations.
  • Contributing to the overall success of the team and organization through the execution of these responsibilities.
  • Staying current with best practices and tools in data engineering and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
