Job summary

Hagerty is seeking a Data Engineer II to join a fast-paced data team building scalable pipelines for Hagerty’s Enterprise Data Hub. You will develop data pipelines, batch and streaming, leveraging Python, SQL, and cloud services in an AWS/Snowflake environment.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with stakeholders to productionize new data ingestions, and contribute to data governance and quality initiatives while supporting analytics and product reporting across Hagerty’s automotive

Qualifications

Proven experience building scalable data pipelines in cloud environments.
Experience with batch and streaming data processing in production.
Familiarity with data governance and metadata management is a plus.

Responsibilities

Implement best practices around software development and big data engineering.
Develop data pipelines using Python, SQL, and cloud solutions (AWS/Salesforce).
Build batch pipelines with Airflow, Snowflake, and AWS services.
Create streaming data integrations for real-time reporting.
Develop and manage infrastructure using Terraform.
Collaborate with stakeholders to productionize new data ingestions and analytics workloads.
Develop metadata catalogs to support governance and data democratization.
Work with Data Quality Engineers on automated tests and data reconciliation.
Mentor junior engineers in data engineering practices.
Collaborate with Data Scientists to prototype and deploy ML solutions.
