Job summary

Gravity IT Resources is seeking a Data Engineer II to analyze large data sets and build scalable data pipelines in a predominantly AWS environment. You will work with Jira, Salesforce, and internal portals to automate analytics and enterprise-scale data delivery.

You will own key datasets, contribute to modern data warehousing, and help evolve reporting and analytics capabilities using SQL and Python. This is a contract-to-hire role located in Miami, FL, with collaboration across product,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience delivering data engineering solutions.
• Strong experience with AWS services (Glue, Lambda, S3, EC2, CloudWatch, CloudTrail).
• Proficiency with dbt, Snowflake, SQL, Python, and Qlik.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support analytical data infrastructure and data warehouse concepts.
• Build, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Optimize storage, performance, and cost efficiency of data assets.
• Manage AWS resources and services (EC2, S3, Glue, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Collaborate with teams to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources using SQL and AWS tools.
• Explore AWS capabilities to improve platform efficiency and unlock new analytics use cases.
• Partner with Data Scientists and BI Engineers to improve reporting and analytics.
• Automate workflows and enable self-service data access for internal customers.
• Maintain BI reporting platforms and provide user support.
