Job summary

Textron is seeking a Data Engineer II to design, build, and optimize scalable data infrastructure supporting the company’s data-driven initiatives. You will lead complex projects, mentor juniors, and partner with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver well-governed data assets.

Responsibilities include designing data pipelines, optimizing workflows, implementing data quality frameworks, managing ETL/ELT processes, and ensuring security and regulatory compliance across cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles.
• Proficiency in designing, building, and maintaining scalable ETL pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Scala, or similar languages.
• Solid experience with SQL and working knowledge of relational, NoSQL, and cloud-based databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery across systems and platforms.
• Optimize existing data workflows for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business problems into data engineering solutions.
• Develop and enhance data validation, quality, and testing frameworks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Oversee deployment and maintenance of data integration solutions including ETL/ELT, real-time streaming, and batch processing.
