Job summary

Netomi is seeking a highly analytical Data Engineer to join the Analytics team in Gurugram. You will architect scalable data pipelines, build ETL/ELT processes, and collaborate with data scientists and engineers to drive insights that shape product decisions.

You will develop and maintain data models, run Exploratory Data Analysis, and ensure robust, testable Python code with modern BI tooling. This role emphasizes data quality, security, and scalable infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or backend software development roles.
• Solid understanding of Relational Databases (RDS, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ for building asynchronous, decoupled systems.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, and at least one data pipeline orchestration tool (Airflow, Luigi, Prefect).
• Strong experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable data pipelines using modern data platforms (e.g., Spark, Databricks, Airflow, Snowflake).
• Develop ETL/ELT processes to ingest data from various sources.
• Perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to uncover trends and inform decisions.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to design data models.
• Write clean, tested Python code with unit and integration tests.
