Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Data Engineer I in Indiana to design and optimize data pipelines, ensuring reliable and accessible information across the organization. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of equivalent experience required.
• 1+ years of data engineering or related technical experience required.
• Hands on experience developing and managing data pipelines required.
• Strong SQL knowledge and databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQL Server) required.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala required.
• Familiarity with data warehousing and large datasets required, Azure oriented.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL, and Azure data services preferred.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Synapse preferred.
• Ability to work with Power BI for data visualization preferred.
• Understanding of data governance and data quality principles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support developers, architects, analysts, and data scientists by improving data accessibility and usability.
• Maintain consistency across projects by following data delivery architecture standards.
• Recommend and implement data pipeline designs that optimize data flow for cross functional teams.
• Design, build, and deploy data processes that serve multiple systems and products.
• Develop and sustain data workflows for modeling, mining, and production; identify new data acquisition opportunities.
• Use various languages and tools to integrate systems and enhance data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
• Architect, build, and launch data models that support business objectives and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross functional partners to align data initiatives with organizational goals.
