Are you experienced in computer science, detail-oriented, a hard worker, and a strong communicator? If so, the Data Engineer I role might be for you.

Join Our Team

As a Data Engineer I, you will maintain scalable, reliable, and consistent systems supporting data operations for Reporting, Analytics, Applications, and Data Science. Your responsibilities include gathering and processing raw data at scale, profiling data to ensure quality, and developing, testing, and implementing code and scripts. You will also develop data processes for modeling, mining, and consumption.

• Maintaining systems that support data science and customer data operations
• Processing raw data at scale (scripting, web scraping, calling APIs, SQL queries, etc.)
• Using ETL processes to manage data quality and manipulation

• Managing the lifecycle of multiple data sources
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

• At least 1+ year experience with RDBMS, SQL, scripting, and coding
• At least 1+ year experience in Linux/Unix/CentOS system administration
• Associate's degree in engineering or computer science
• Basic coding/scripting skills in Python, R, shell scripts
• Basic experience with SQL, Tableau, and ETL techniques
• Basic knowledge of Linux/CentOS installation and administration
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Familiarity with open source technologies and cloud services
• Basic understanding of data storage options and technologies like Spark, Hadoop/Hive
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Willingness to learn new techniques and programming languages

Preferred

• Familiarity with JavaScript API, Rest API, or Data Extract APIs
• Knowledge of data workflow platforms like Informatica, Pentaho, or Talend
• Understanding of IT operations for high-availability services
• Knowledge of data virtualization tools such as Denodo, Teiid, JBoss
• Experience with data cleansing and transformation
