Position Summary:

The Data Engineer I supports data and analytics initiatives by building and maintaining data pipelines to deliver curated data for products and features. The role involves collaboration, communication, and applying data standards and best practices, leveraging tools such as Azure Synapse, Azure Purview, and PowerBI.

Job Duties:

1. Build Data Pipelines (40%): Develop data flows that integrate, transform, and consolidate data from various sources using SQL, Python, Scala, and tools like Synapse, data lakes, and data warehouses.
2. Automate Data Processes (10%): Automate data preparation and integration tasks to improve efficiency, utilizing DevOps for CI/CD.
3. Collaborate on Data Solutions (20%): Document analytics solutions, provide data reporting, and operationalize data flows developed by others.
4. Ensure Data Compliance and Governance (10%): Apply security controls, standards, and best practices.
5. Data Infrastructure and Operations (20%): Monitor and optimize data storage and processing, support daily analytics operations, and maintain metadata content.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience (including relevant work experience and training). Preparation for IT certification is a plus.
