Job summary

M&T Bank Corporation is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, integrations, and analytics solutions that support regulatory compliance and decision-making.

The role is four days onsite at the Seneca One Buffalo, NY location, with the flexibility to work from home one day per week. You will contribute to enterprise data products, dashboards, and reporting while collaborating with senior engineers and business partners.

Qualifications

• Combined minimum of 5 years' higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management and/or architecture.
• Experience with Python, SQL, Java, or similar technologies.
• Experience querying and analyzing data using relational databases.
• Understanding of ETL processes, data transformation techniques, and data quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting solutions.
• Develop integrations with internal and external data sources via APIs, databases, and file-based exchanges.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions through collaboration with partners and teams.
• Maintain data models, data quality controls, and data transformation processes.
