Data Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX or Remote

Type: Contract / Full-time

Job Description:

• Proficient with Python and SQL
• Build and manage efficient ETL pipelines using Databricks workflows or other orchestration frameworks
• Experience with structured and semi-structured data ingestion and processing using PySpark
• Fundamental knowledge of AWS services (S3, SQS) or similar services on other cloud platforms
• Experience with Terraform and GitLab CI/CD
• Query tuning and performance optimization in SQL and SparkSQL
• Knowledge of data warehousing solutions like Snowflake or similar
• Experience working for a cloud-based data services provider serving large healthcare clients
• FHIR experience is a plus

Additional Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients and implementation teams to understand data distribution requirements
• Perform data analysis and mapping to produce client outputs
• Build data distribution extracts and scripts
• Optimize the performance of data extraction scripts
