Job summary

SpaceX's Starlink Reliability team is hiring a Data Engineer to design and build data pipelines and analytics systems that improve the reliability of Starlink customer hardware. You will work on critical infrastructure to monitor, analyze, and reduce failures as the network scales.

You will collaborate with engineering, production, test, inventory, and supply chain teams in a fast-paced, on-site Bastrop, TX environment, with opportunities to influence product reliability and overall system

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field; 4+ years in data or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, Bash, and Git; familiarity with additional languages.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, system design, concurrency; high-performance code.

Responsibilities

• Build data pipelines, infrastructure, and analytics tools to improve Starlink hardware reliability.
• Contribute to core internal and customer-facing codebases; work in data repositories.
• Collaborate across engineering, production, test, inventory, quality, and supply chain to drive outcomes.
