Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows, with a strong emphasis on graph databases and GenAI/LLM initiatives across our data platforms.

You will work closely with data scientists and engineers, gather requirements from client stakeholders, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions within a small cross-functional delivery team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 3 years of professional data engineering experience.
• Experience with Python and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows
• Build and maintain graph database models supporting downstream applications
• Design and implement RAG/GraphRAG pipelines to power generative AI applications on top of graph and data platforms
• Work closely with data engineers and scientists to build and enhance data and AI-driven solutions
• Engage directly with client stakeholders by gathering requirements, presenting progress, and translating business needs into technical solutions
• Collaborate with a small cross-functional delivery team

• Build and maintain graph database models supporting downstream applications
• Design and implement RAG/GraphRAG pipelines to power generative AI applications on top of graph and data platforms

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder
• At least 3 years of professional experience in data engineering or a related technical field
• Experience with Python
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms
• Experience developing ETL pipelines and familiarity with ETL frameworks
• Experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake
• Experience with graph databases (e.g. Neo4j)
• Hands-on experience with GenAI/LLM projects, including RAG and GraphRAG
• Direct client-facing experience
• Background in consulting or professional services
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipeline development
• Experience with AI/ML-driven applications
