Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ additional years of equivalent experience
• 3+ years of related experience in IT data engineering and analysis
• 1+ years of experience with data solutions leveraging SQL, Java, Springboot, and/or Python
• Familiarity with big data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, GCP)
• Ability to engineer data solutions using ETL tools or develop APIs as needed
• Sound knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile frameworks
• Financial Industry Experience preferred, or other regulated industries
• IT Risk, Audit, and/or Information Security experience
• Knowledge of SAS AML or Actimize product suite
• Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures
• Knowledge of design and programming techniques that provide security
• Ability to debug code and/or troubleshoot and analyze defects
• Understanding of data control frameworks and handling approaches
• Ability to work independently and multitask within a collaborative work environment
• Willingness and aptitude for continuous improvement
• Strong team-player attitude
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on customer service

Responsibilities

• Devise and/or modify procedures and software to solve complex data problems
• Perform data analysis, coding, control design, testing, debugging, and documentation
• Support data analysis, deployments, enhancements, and integrations between systems using various data patterns
• Partner with Solutions Architecture to recommend, develop, and implement solutions
• Analyze and review data sources, controls, security, scalability, and performance requirements with clients and team members
• Develop or modify software application designs and specific modules
• Test new or customized data integrations, independently or with QA resources
• Document data integration and ingestion functions and changes, test activities and results, error handling, and backup/recovery procedures
• Serve as 3rd level support and assist lower-tier support with maintenance and production issues
• Work in an agile development environment and follow programming/engineering methodologies
