Job summary

Integral is seeking a Data Engineer for AI and ML to join the internal Office of Technology, supporting DoD/IC missions from McLean, VA. The role is hybrid with 3 days in the office and requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

You will design data architectures, build extensive ETL/ELT pipelines, and integrate ML models for federal programs. The candidate should have 3+ years in data engineering and 2+ years in AI/ML operations, with GovCloud / Azure Gov fingerprints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or related highly technical field.
• 3+ years of progressive data engineering experience, with at least 2+ years supporting AI/ML operations (MLOps).
• Strong background in cloud environments, particularly AWS GovCloud or Azure Government.

Responsibilities

• Data Architecture & Strategy: Design, build, and optimize scalable data architectures for ML models and high-volume processing.
• Pipeline Engineering (ETL/ELT): Build and maintain resilient data pipelines handling multimodal data.
• AI/ML Integration & Tuning: Evaluate, fine-tune, and deploy AI models in secure environments.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with project personnel and government stakeholders to translate needs into data solutions.
• Project Flexibility: Lead internal capability development while deploying onto client engagements as needed.
• Security & Compliance: Adhere to federal security, privacy, and data governance standards (NIST, FISMA, DoD SRG).
