Job summary

Benchling, the AI platform for biotech R&D, is hiring a data engineer to own end-to-end data pipelines and the analytics warehouse in a hybrid, on-site/remote setup. You will collaborate with AI engineering to surface trustworthy data for agentic AI tooling and BI workflows, while upholding governance and data quality standards.

You will work within a small, fast-moving AIDE team that shapes core data infrastructure and analytics foundations across GTM, Product, Finance, and beyond.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and Python skills; data modeling methods and tools.
• Experience applying software engineering practices to data systems.
• Comfort with cloud infrastructure supporting production pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own core data pipelines end to end from ingestion to warehouse and BI layer.
• Partner with AI engineering to enable trusted data for agentic AI tooling.
• Maintain data governance, access controls, and cost/performance of the warehouse.
• Contribute to platform strategy and architectural decisions.
