Omega Holdings is seeking a Data Engineer to support our corporate IT department in Irving, TX. This onsite role will work with teams across the US & Canada to support growth and IT targets.

The role requires a BS in CS or SE, at least one year of experience, relational databases, and experience with ETL, Python/Java, and reporting tools like Jet, Power BI or Tableau. Collaboration with onsite and offshore teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering.
• At least one year of hands-on experience.
• Relational database experience is required.
• Reporting experience with Jet, Power BI or Tableau.
• ETL experience and programming in Java or Python.
• Data engineering development background.
• Experience with onsite and offshore teams.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage tasks.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex data intensive projects.
• Proficient in Python, Spark, and building reusable data modules.
• Prototype, develop, and troubleshoot software in UI or service layers.
• Participate in discussions on software UX, architecture, and development.
• Keep up with technology and apply new knowledge.
• Manage Github PRs and release management for data projects.
• Document technical projects clearly.
• Coordinate with onsite/offshore teams to clear blockers.
• Follow established coding standards.
