Job summary

CFS is seeking a Data Engineer for an onsite Denver, CO role to lead a high-visibility data modernization initiative affecting enterprise reporting and architecture.

The position focuses on rebuilding ETL processes, standardizing dashboards, and documenting critical business systems, with significant ownership and autonomy.

The ideal candidate will design scalable data pipelines, implement Power BI governance with DAX and row-level security, and transition from legacy platforms.

Qualifications

• Advanced ETL architecture, design, and documentation experience.
• Strong experience rebuilding or modernizing data environments.
• Advanced Power BI expertise.
• Deep knowledge of DAX calculations and report design.
• Experience implementing row-level security within Power BI.
• Strong technical documentation and process-mapping skills.
• Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity.
• Experience evaluating existing systems and recommending improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead two critical initiatives and oversee transition from legacy systems.
• Design and implement a new ETL framework, scalable data pipelines, and secure reporting.
• Standardize Power BI reports and establish a base report library.
• Develop implementation plans and technical specifications for data modernization.
• Build and deploy the new ETL environment and ensure governance.
• Support API and data integration efforts with legacy systems.
