Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Data Engineer to support the SITEC3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance tasks for USSOCOM. Located at Camp H. M. Smith, HI, the role focuses on data ingestion pipelines, edge processing, and data tagging to enable threat hunting and compliance reporting.

Responsibilities include building pipelines, configuring forwarders, developing CIM mappings, improving search performance, and ensuring secure, available transport paths across platforms.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance required and ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 451 – Systems Administrator – Intermediate or higher.
• Minimum experience aligned with DoD DoW requirements as stated.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, configure, and maintain data ingestion pipelines ingesting telemetry into the enterprise deployment.
• Implement edge processors and forwarders to manage data routing and masking at the enterprise edge.
• Design standardized data tagging and CIM mappings for downstream security tools.
• Develop add-ons to parse and enrich non‑standard mission data prior to ingestion.
• Troubleshoot data parsing and time-stamping issues to ensure fast search performance.
