Job summary

HireHi is seeking a data engineer/BI developer to build and optimize data pipelines using dbt, develop analytics-ready data models, and create Power BI dashboards. You will work with SQL, Snowflake, and AWS in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.

You will transform business requirements into scalable data models and reporting solutions, ensuring data quality and reliable analytics delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Hands-on experience with dbt and modern ELT/data transformation practices.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, including dimensional modeling, fact/dimension structures, and analytics datasets.
• Experience with a modern cloud data warehouse, preferably Snowflake.
• Strong Power BI skills including data modeling, DAX, dashboards and performance.
• Ability to understand unfamiliar datasets and identify relationships and data quality issues.
• Experience debugging and supporting existing data pipelines and analytics solutions.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
• Strong experience with Python and Airflow.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance data pipelines and transformation workflows using dbt.
• Develop clean, reliable, and reusable data models for analytics and reporting.
• Work with SQL and data warehouse platforms to investigate data and implement transformations.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and DAX measures.
• Translate business requirements into data models and reporting solutions.
• Perform data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and data quality checks.
• Troubleshoot data issues across the pipeline from source to reporting.
• Take ownership of tasks and drive them through development, testing, and completion.
• Collaborate with business, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
