We are seeking a talented and driven DevOps Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team at Collins Aerospace. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cutting-edge infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and innovate our data platform and capabilities, ensuring robust and efficient data operations.
What YOU will do:
- Implement automated data pipelines using tools like Databricks, PySpark, SQL, Python, APIs and other relevant technologies to streamline data ingestion and processing.
- Develop and maintain ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load data into systems like Databricks Delta Lake, Snowflake.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications and managing infrastructure across cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Utilize tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure.
- Deploy, monitor, and manage data solutions and applications on cloud platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, and Azure.
- Develop and maintain scripts and applications in Python and SQL using IDEs like Databricks Notebooks, PyCharm, Jupyter, and Visual Studio Code for automation, coding, debugging, and testing.
Qualifications you must have:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position (U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder).
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering role, with proficiency in designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency with libraries and frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, and SQLAlchemy. Scripting experience in Bash for automating tasks.
- Experience developing ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load data into systems like Databricks Delta Lake or Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, focusing on deploying, managing, and scaling applications and data solutions.
- Proficient in managing and automating infrastructure deployments using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience in designing, building, and optimizing continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for large-scale applications.
- Understanding of cloud-based data lake and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, AWS S3, Azure Data Lake).
- Experience working with large-scale datasets, complex data architectures, and unstructured data.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience as a Data Engineer in a cross-functional agile team.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
