Everforth Apex is seeking a Data Engineer in Cincinnati, onsite, for a 3+ month contract. You will design and build scalable data management systems to support analytics, with emphasis on data mining and data quality. The role requires experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and backend Java/J2EE, plus BI/ETL skills.

Collaborate with teammates on project goals and implement robust data solutions using modern data architectures and technologies.

Role Overview

This role involves the design and construction of scalable data management systems. The position requires ensuring all data systems meet company requirements and researching new uses for data acquisition. A thorough understanding of the industry, including data mining practices and algorithms, is necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, construct, install, test, and maintain data management systems.
• Build high-performance algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes.
• Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices.
• Integrate new data management and software engineering technologies into existing data structures.
• Develop processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production.
• Create custom software components and analytics applications.
• Research new applications for existing data.
• Employ various technological languages and tools to connect systems.
• Collaborate with team members on project goals.
• Install and update disaster recovery procedures.
• Recommend methods to improve data reliability and quality.

Required Qualifications

Education: A technical degree or related work experience is required.

Experience: Experience with non-relational and relational databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB) is necessary.

Technical Skills: Experience programming or architecting a back-end language (e.g., Java, J2EE) is required. Must have skills in Business Intelligence - Systems/ETL.
