Job summary

Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to design and operate data pipelines on the Databricks Lakehouse platform at our Plano, TX location. You will collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, and stakeholders to enable analytics, AI, and ML initiatives while practicing modern cloud-based data solutions.

The role emphasizes building scalable pipelines, data governance, and performance optimization, with hybrid work options in a supportive enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 3+ years in Data or Software Engineering.
• 1+ year hands-on with Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
• Experience with cloud storage (ADLS/S3) and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GC).
• Experience supporting analytics platforms such as Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Databricks Lakehouse.
• Build ETL/ELT processes using Spark, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.
• Develop batch and streaming data ingestion from enterprise systems and APIs.
• Create data models and semantic layers for reporting and ML.
• Implement testing, monitoring, and alerting for pipelines.
