Base pay range

$50.00/hr - $55.00/hr

Title: Data Engineer
Location: New York, New York OR Seattle, WA
Duration: 6 months, can extend
Compensation: $50-55/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Skillset / Experience:

The Data Engineer will join a central infrastructure team to support the build out and integration of new global data pipelines. You will take ownership of key ETL deliverables and drive their completion from end to end. You will be working with very large data sets, well beyond the scalability limits of conventional relational databases. We're looking for people who innovate, love solving hard problems, and never take "no" for an answer. You will have the opportunity to research and work with cutting edge technologies, as well as expand into new projects.

A successful candidate will have the following experience:

• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience with AWS, including services such as S3, AWS Glue, Lambda, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose
• Strong scripting experience with Python
• Strong SQL experience - ability to write and optimize complex queries
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building end to end ETL pipelines
• Experience with Airflow
• Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
• Experience working with very large data sets in an enterprise environment
