Job summary

Oliver Bernard is partnering with a global management consultancy expanding its Columbus team to hire Data Engineers who can hit the ground running. This hands-on role centers on Python as the main tool, building data platforms and pipelines to solve real client problems.

You will work with engineering, data and business teams, explaining your reasoning to non engineers, contribute to architecture decisions, and operate in a hybrid setup with three days in the Columbus office.

Qualifications

• Strong Python skills from production environments, not just scripting.
• Proven experience building and running data pipelines at scale.
• Comfort with messy, real-world data.
• Consulting experience, or a track record of working directly with non-technical stakeholders.

Our client is a global management consultancy advising major organisations in financial services, technology and other sectors. As more of their client work depends on data and engineering, they're expanding the Columbus team and want to speak with Data Engineers who can hit the ground running.

What the job involves

This is a hands-on data engineering position where Python is the main tool. Most of your time goes on building data platforms, pipelines and large-scale processing for real client problems, not internal tooling. You'll work with engineering, data and business teams, so you need to build well and explain your reasoning clearly to people who aren't engineers.
