Job summary

Verdesian Brand is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain SQL-based data pipelines and optimized database objects. You will create PowerBI datasets and reports, and develop data integrations across enterprise systems on-site in Cary, NC.

Requires 3 years of experience, a BS degree in a related field, strong SQL, and experience with SSIS or similar ETL tools. Knowledge of CRM systems and advanced Excel skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience as a data engineer, business systems analyst or a similar role.
• BS degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying, transformation, and optimization.
• Experience with ETL tools, preferably SSIS (or equivalent such as Mulesoft or Azure Data Factory).
• Knowledge of SharePoint, Salesforce or similar CRMs, and Workflow software.
• Intermediate to expert level Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain SQL-based data pipelines across enterprise systems.
• Develop, update, and optimize database objects (views, stored procedures, functions, indexes) for reporting and analytics.
• Create and maintain PowerBI datasets, models, and reports for accurate and timely insights.
• Build and support data integrations between internal and external systems using APIs, flat files, or integration tools.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and document data workflows to ensure reliability and data quality.
• Effective time management and organization in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate as a team member and contribute ideas to improve processes.
