Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Data Engineer, Senior Specialist to design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and architectures for scalable data processing. You will build ETL workflows, integrate diverse data sources, and design optimized schemas for analytical workloads, while guiding and reviewing code within the data engineering team.

The role is hybrid and based in Charlotte, NC, requiring strong SQL and big data framework experience alongside cloud services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data analytics, programming, DB admin, or data management.
• Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred.
• Strong SQL proficiency with relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with big data frameworks such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java.
• Experience with cloud data services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Data modeling experience required.
• No visa sponsorship available.
