Job summary

RWE Supply & Trading GmbH is seeking a Data Engineer to build scalable data pipelines and enable trusted data access across the RWEST Data Platform. You will partner with business and tech teams to harmonise data, improve metadata and implement governance at scale.

You will design reusable data models and a low-code/no-code onboarding platform, supporting analytics, trading and AI use cases while ensuring performance, cost efficiency and robust testing.

Qualifications

• Experience building reliable data pipelines with Python and SQL.
• Hands-on with Databricks, Apache Spark and AWS data services (S3).
• Ability to integrate diverse data sources via APIs, batch or streaming.
• Strong data modelling, data quality, metadata management and governance.
• Experience building reusable integration frameworks or self-service data solutions.
• Clear communication and collaboration with stakeholders, CI/CD and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines feeding RWEST Data Platform.
• Drive enterprise-wide data harmonisation with stakeholders to improve quality and standards.
• Architect and deliver a low-code/no-code self-service data onboarding platform.
• Develop reusable data models and transformations for analytics, trading and AI.
• Embed automated testing, monitoring, lineage and governance into pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineers and business teams to translate requirements into production-ready data solutions.
