Job summary

VantageWorks, a data-focused partner to The Providence Groups, seeks a Data Engineer to design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data infrastructure supporting reporting, BI, and AI initiatives. You will integrate diverse data sources, ensure quality, and optimize data flows for a growing organization.

You will work with cloud data platforms, contribute to a modern data platform, and collaborate with executives to shape data strategy across industries.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong SQL skills- writing, debugging, and optimizing queries against real business data.
• Python (Pandas or similar) for data work.
• Experience with a cloud data platform such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, or equivalent.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience integrating APIs and flat-file data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to work with real-world data: profiling, cleaning, validating, documenting

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Integrate data from APIs, flat files, cloud platforms, and operational systems.
• Clean, validate, transform, and document data.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries.
• Develop Python scripts for automation and data transformation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders.
• Support data quality and governance.
• Contribute to cloud-based data architecture.
• Partner with external consultants.
• Help establish the foundation for AI and advanced analytics.
