Job summary

HURRDAT LLC in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain data models and pipelines behind analytics and reporting, primarily using BigQuery and dbt. The role encompasses both paid media and content analytics, with ownership of datasets reaching clients daily.

The ideal candidate has strong SQL and data modeling foundation, 2–4 years of data engineering experience, and hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses. This is an in-office, full-time role in Omaha.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/DS or equivalent required.
• Experience with data modeling including dimensional modeling and warehouse design.
• Proficient SQL and Python for data transformations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data models for reporting and analysis.
• Develop, test, and document dbt transformations and tests.
• Build ELT pipelines from multiple data sources into the data warehouse.
• Write Python scripts to automate data tasks and API integration.
• Monitor pipelines for failures and data quality issues.
• Collaborate with teams to translate business questions into datasets.
• Maintain data source and model documentation.
• Support AI/ML initiatives with data infrastructure.
