Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Data Engineer / Backend Developer to join our Federal Strategic Cyber program in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on designing and maintaining ETL pipelines, transforming data with Python, and ensuring secure, reliable deployments in a hybrid work environment.

You will collaborate with data management and development teams, implement OpenShift/Kubernetes, and integrate CI/CD processes while upholding security best practices and on-site presence as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of relevant technical experience.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Bash, Python).
• Production OpenShift and Kubernetes experience.
• Strong containerization knowledge (Docker, Podman).
• U.S. Citizenship is required; TS clearance eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines.
• Design transform scripts with Python for data normalization.
• Implement containerization with OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Integrate CI/CD into SDLC.
• Monitor, optimize, and secure DevOps procedures.
• Troubleshoot issues across development, test, and production environments.
