Job summary

Statista, the world’s leading business data platform, seeks a skilled data engineer to design and improve data workflows. You will build backend services, data pipelines, AI agents, and orchestration systems, centralizing fragmented processes into a robust platform.

You’ll collaborate with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders in a cross-functional team, applying Python, SQL, and cloud tech to deliver scalable, production-grade solutions in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Python skills in backend systems or data pipelines.
• Experience developing AI-powered applications using LLMs and AI APIs.
• Solid SQL, databases, and data modeling understanding.
• Git experience and clean code practices.
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration and data engineering basics.
• Knowledge of Docker or AWS is a plus.
• Able to thrive in fast-evolving environment.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
• Fluent English and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve modeled data workflows.
• Build and maintain backend services, data pipelines, AI agents, and workflow orchestration systems.
