Job summary

Event Network, LLC is seeking a mid-level Data Engineer to develop and support pipelines, datasets, models, and services behind our AI/BI initiatives. This hands-on role turns business and analytical needs into secure, production-ready data solutions and collaborates with the Senior Business Analyst and IS resources.

Hybrid work is offered, with four days onsite at either the San Diego or Park City headquarters and one remote day per week.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, database development, or integration development.
• Strong SQL skills with complex queries and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Python and building readable data-focused code.
• Experience delivering production ETL/ELT pipelines with monitoring and recovery.
• Hands‑on Git experience and clear branch/PR practices.
• Experience with CI/CD in Azure DevOps or similar.
• Experience designing automated tests for data and pipelines.
• Understanding secure configuration, secrets management, and repeatable deployment.
• Experience preparing governed data for Power BI and semantic models.
• Ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines from diverse sources.
• Develop transformations and curated data products for analytics and AI applications.
• Own code and deployment hygiene in Azure DevOps and Git.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines for data pipelines, notebooks, SQL, and infrastructure.
• Create automated tests for data quality, schemas, and regression scenarios.
• Implement configuration management and auditable releases.
• Create ingestion and retrieval processes for AI data and metadata.
• Monitor, log, alert, and provide production support for pipelines.
• Document data models, mappings, and runbooks.
• Communicate progress and risks clearly with stakeholders.
