Job summary

Anglicotech, LLC is seeking a Data Engineer with immediate availability to thrive in a process-oriented environment in the National Capital Region. The role is hybrid, on-site 2-3 days weekly at Pentagon/Navy Yard/Crystal City, with up to 25-30% travel.

Salary ranges from $80,000 to $120,000, plus comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) matching, PTO, holidays, and life/disability insurance. A US Secret clearance is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a US college; 3–9 years in IT development and SDLC.
• 3–9 years data and analytics experience for large organizations or government agencies.
• Proficient in SQL and Python; ability to translate business requirements into data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and provide subject matter expertise over the use of the Advana platform.
• Support existing and/or new use cases utilizing the tools and applications within Advana.
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, including querying data from various sources, applying transformations, and storing outputs for reporting.

We are seeking a Data Engineerwith immediate availability that will thrive in a challenging and rewarding process-oriented environment.

Location:

• Hybrid
• This position is located in the National Capital Region.
• On-site 2-3 times per week at client site in Pentagon/Navy Yard/Crystal City

Travel:

• May require up to 25-30% travel to support site visits as needed
• A salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 is available for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, education, certifications, technical qualifications, security clearance, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver and provide subject matter expertise over the use of the Advana platform.
• Support existing and/or new use cases utilizing the tools and applications within Advana
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, including querying data from various sources, applying transformations, and storing outputs for reporting

Security Clearance:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security clearance at the minimum level of Secret

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited United States college
• 3-9 years of progressive, relevant experience supporting IT Development (SDLC – Technical documentation, requirements, design, testing, change management or deployment)
• 3-9 years of progressive, relevant experience creating/maintaining databases or data and analytics experience (creation of data visualizations, data analytic reports, data cleansing scripts and processes or performing technical data analysis) for State or Federal Government agencies or large, complex companies (greater than 1,000 employees)
• Experience using the Databricks platform and proficient in utilizing its features and architecture
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining interactive data visualizations and dashboards using the Qlik Sense platform
• Proficient in SQL and Python (PySpark, Pandas)
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience with Navy ERP
• Experience working with financial/accounting data (specifically in the Federal domain)
• Knowledge of the United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL)
• Knowledge of SAP software
• Experience with Federal Government Contracting process
• Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot systems problems
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
